Postcard from the Sticks

There are times on the road, or off, that I celebrate my good luck to be able to ride.  Doesn't matter what you ride or where you ride, these moments present themselves as opportunities to give thanks that I'm alive and walking on the earth.

Best wishes from the Sticks.  Ride well.

I echo your sentiments. I am trying to squeeze as much in as I can for the next few years before I can't . . .

every time I see your lonely tree I think of those old Ilford photo paper boxes with the tree on it

+1 to what you said. Ride as much and as often as you can until you can't no more.

I'm back in the mountains riding the Blue Ridge Parkway for all i'm worth. I saw four people getting tickets and I wasn't one of them. Does that count?

Well said! You have to soak it all up for as long as you can. That is an exquisite picture.

Being without a scooter, well, sucks. So does poverty. For now, I will ride vicariously through posts like this.

bobskoot: I have quite a few old Ilford boxes floating around the house. They do trigger a bit of nostalgia...

SonjaM: It's like the quote I hear over and over again on Battlestar Galatica (that's my latest Netflix find) "Keep fighting until you can't."

I'll substitute riding...

Paul: Not sure there were any lilies around but I get your meaning.

claudia: Thank you!

angelo: I don't think any of this can be explained to a non-rider. It has to be experienced.

Conchscooter: Any day you aren't getting a ticket is a good day.

Dar: Thank you for the kind words about the picture. I'll keep shooting them until my camera quits working...

Orin: I hope things brighten for you soon and you rejoin the middle class as you've alluded to in your posts.

I'll try and keep a vicarious supply of scooter posts coming your way...
