Postcard from the Sticks

I've been riding more than writing lately but wanted to take a moment to send this reminder of the little reasons that make a ride on the weekend something special. Those clouds reminded me of the ones I used to lay in the grass and watch pass overhead imagining all sorts of fantastic tales.

Forty years later I still feel the urge to look up.

Steve: Nice picture! What is it about lone trees and you anyway? :-)

Way off subject but I follow you earnestly.
Steve, HOW did you actually mess up when you ruined the crank on your old 150?? I have the same dilema now and will aquire a new ride to start over like you.

anonymous: I just love the feeling of a lone tree on the landscape. Or a scooter....

anonymous: I did not reassemble the parts correctly and as a result there was a slight movement that magnified and slowly over about 60 miles vibrated the splines away on the end of the crankshaft. That could not be fixed without pulling the engine apart and putting in a new crank.

Dumb mistake on my part. The dealer fixed it and sold the scooter. It ran like new.

Pictures are nice but riding is much better. Keep riding.
